RCOG updated their guidance to v12 on 14th October; the summary of evidence has been comprehensively updated and rewritten to incorporate changes to evidence base, in particular the MBRRACE Rapid Report and recent systematic reviews. Many other sections have updated recommendations, including antenatal care, birth partners, and labour and birth.

Review of 11 Cochrane Reviews (71 RCTs; n=23,154) found possible benefit with combination of exercise and diet, supplementation with myo‐inositol, supplementation with vitamin D and metformin in reducing risk, but further high‐quality evidence is needed.
